| Using
keen eyes and ears, pupils search the woodland, meadows and ponds for evidence
of animals. Armed with magnifying glasses and identification sheets to aid investigation,
eager detectives will find a range of tracks and trails. Rabbit hills, molehills,
feathers, and nibbled hazelnuts are just some of the evidence that may be detected.
There is also the opportunity to encounter a variety of animals first hand!
Searching high
and low pupils keep a record of what they have found in each habitat using
tally counts, data that is useful for habitat comparisons.
