Great Turnip Field
This rough grassland area is being left to develop into scrub. Dog rose, hawthorn and ash have all colonised and it is an ideal habitat for invertebrate investigations. Sweep netting is commonly practiced here and species such as froghoppers and plant bugs are frequently recorded. Grass snakes are also a common site in this grassland.
