Named as a result of its previous use as a golf course this damp yearly cut grassland is home to the southern marsh orchid and adderstongue. Being the closest grassland to the field centre this area is used extensively for outdoor activities and is well equipped with an outdoor teaching area and picnic tables. Man-made teaching resources have also been constructed in here, these include the music area, a geological sundial, the butterfly garden and the willow circle.
