Book at Daws Hall for Geography, Biology and Environmental Studies courses at KS3, GCSE, A level and for GNVQ Science Modules. Open throughout the year our well equiped centre can accomodate up to 35 students at KS3 or 25 at A level on course from one to five days long. At KS3 we can accomodate whole year groups over a number of consecutive days. Knowledge and understanding of the environment is a key part of the Science curriculum, Daws Hall can introduce ecological study e.g. comparing river and brook, looking at pollution and other human influences. |

We have a good relationship with the Castle Hedingham Youth Hostel, 8 miles form Daws Hall, which has ideal facilities for students. |

We can provide all the backgroud needed for fieldwork and interpreting data, complementing work at school. Daws Hall is a wealth of information. Modern PCs are avilable for data handling and data logging, so that results can be collated and interpreted whilst ensuring that the maximum time is spent on outdoor investigations. |

Local Sites |

For courses lasting more than one day other local sites can be used to extend the work. Semi-natural ancient woodlands, Wildlife Trust reserves, unimproved flower rich grassland and futher sites on the River Stour are all within reach. |
